This is such an encouraging audiobook and so easy to listen to that I finished it within a couple days of downloading it. Kay Warren narrates herself and comes across like a very good friend who empathises with you all the way through. She also helps you sort out your problems and doesn't just tell you to pretend that bad things aren't happening in your life. She has experienced a lot of pain and fear herself so is speaking from personal experience. She is very honest about her fears which really made me warm to her throughout this audio. My favourite chapters are the ones about Jesus being a man of joy, legalism and grace, and about looking after yourself by making your life simpler and taking time for yourself.

I would recommend this audio to every woman as there is so much encouragement here that we all need everyday. Although I must state that it definitely isn't just for people who are struggling and need encouraging. I haven't listened to any other audiobooks by this author before, but I would definitely listen to more after this excellent recording. I buy these as gifts for people who are in recovery. I have a great request for them. It really helps them in developing a closer walk with God and understanding the power of Grace, forgiveness and love through Christ having power over their recovery. They don't have to go through recovery alone, and they don't have to go through depression, guilt and regrets when they are recovering and walking with the Lord who loves them.

Serving in jail ministry, but never having to deal with the life of addiction, per se, I wanted to learn so that I can help the women I talk with. This workbook is tough. My drug of choice is food, and I'm working each step with that in mind.The book helps you work through each of the 12 Steps, asking tough questions to make you dive deeper into the crux of that addiction and how to seek recovery.

I can't even begin to tell you how very wonderful and practical this Bible is! If it doesn't draw you closer to God in it's practical and easy to understand way, keep praying!Love it so much, I give as gifts to those I love!

This is a great workbook for those of us that are believers in the Bible and are in recovery. For me personally, it doesn't take the place of a bible study or an AA meeting. But it makes the two of them better. I am glad I bought this book. I use it with a bunch of guys that meet once a week to discuss the steps and Biblical emphasis.

This is a must for all my mentees in my prison ministry. Everyone woman I have sent it to has told me that it's helped them more than any AA class or prison improvement class. It's must for any addict, the only successful road to recovery and sobriety is through our Savior, Jesus Christ.

This workbook will help focus a person's thoughts top be able to proceed. It is certainly not an end all be all to changing ones life and is more meant to guide than be all inclusive. Strangely, the quality of the pages and binding far exceeds that of the paperback version of the life recovery bible. My advice is to scan or copy the pages so if you feel the need to redo them later you can.

I have been in a 12 step program for 3 years. The God of my understanding has always been the God of the Bible. However, until I began my recovery journey with the Life Recovery Bible and the Life Recovery workbook, I did not truly understand how to benifit from experiences of the characters in the Bible and apply the 12 steps in my Christain journey. As my faith grows and I continue to work through the steps in a biblical format, I am experiencing a peace and serenity like never before. Thank you Steven Arterburn and David Stoop for providing a tool that is heiping change my life!

Still reading and using so far it's good and helping me to understand more about my addiction (food). It is not just for drugs and alcohol.
